BRUSSELS – October 23, 2026 – BICS, a Proximus Global company, has been named a finalist in the Network APIs & Programmable Networks category of the 2026 Fierce Network Innovation Awards.

Konera is a unified network API enabler, aggregator, and distributor. It has been specifically designed to bridge the gap between global mobile network operators and enterprise application developers. It does so by turning fragmented network assets into a standardized, telco-grade marketplace aligned with GSMA CAMARA standards.

By adapting to each operator’s technical maturity, whether through direct API exposure, TS.43 interfaces, or the deployment of its own Network Exposure Function, Konera makes carriers instantly API-ready while giving global enterprises rapid access to network capabilities through solution offerings across the Proximus Global group and to external wholesale buyers through scalable API integrations.

Commenting on being named a finalist, Jaymy Teh, CPO Connect, Proximus Global, said:

“We are thrilled to see Konera recognized at the Fierce Network Innovation Awards. Being named a finalist is a testament to how Konera is tackling operator onboarding complexity, which is one of the telecom sector’s biggest challenges right now. For mobile network operators (MNOs), Konera provides a channel to distribute and commercialize network-derived services, and their once-idle network assets can now become monetizable revenue streams. Congratulations to all our fellow finalists.”

The Fierce Network Innovation Awards celebrate the technologies, companies, and leaders driving the next generation of broadband, wireless, cloud, and digital infrastructure. The 2026 winners will be recognized live for the first time during Broadband Nation Expo on November 19 in New Orleans.

This latest recognition continues a successful 2026 awards season for Konera, which won a MEFFY in the “Mobile Evolution” category and a Carrier Community Global Award for Best Application Service Provider, and was shortlisted at the Global Connectivity Awards.
