IoT innovation award recognizes SIMbae™ provision of autonomous switching between public and private networks
Able Device, a BICS solution partner, has been recognised with an award from IoT Evolution World, a leading publication covering IoT technologies. Able Device’s SIMbae™ solution, offered by BICS as part of its wider IoT connectivity suite, has won the 2023 IoT Evolution Private Wireless Network Innovation Award, which honours the most innovative and disruptive private wireless networking solutions.
Able Device is a fellow pioneer in extending SIM capabilities to deliver value for enterprises, making it easier than ever to leverage IoT technology. Able Device and BICS partnered in October 2022 to add SIMbae™, a software agent for SIM and eSIMs, to BICS’ ecosystem of IoT services.
SIMbae™ paves the way for smooth, automated connectivity between private and public networks on a global scale, and facilitates autonomous network switches at the edge. This versatile software applet not only enhances security but also optimizes performance during roaming, and enables remote monitoring and management of SIM cards, offering a comprehensive solution to various mobile device connectivity challenges.
“This innovation award is a testament to how our solution can deliver tremendous value,” says Roger Dewey, CEO at Able Device. “It’s a game-changer for tackling the common issue of how mobile connectivity can hinder the success of IoT and enterprise mobile projects. Our software applet can also ensure that your device always connects to the best service available when roaming for best quality of experience, remotely monitor and manage when devices drops/stops communicating, and further enhance device security through our encryption subsystem.”
“The solutions selected for the IoT Evolution Private Wireless Network Innovation Award exemplify the growth and development of the private wireless networking ecosystem,” Carl Ford, Community Developer, IoT Evolution World.
“It is my pleasure to recognize SIMbae™, an innovative solution that earned Able Device, Inc. the 2023 IoT Evolution Private Wireless Network Innovation Award,” said Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC. “I look forward to seeing more innovation from Able Device, Inc. in the future.”
Divya Ghai Wakankar, VP Strategy and Corporate Development at BICS, commented, “We’re thrilled that our trusted partner Able Device is receiving recognition for the innovative SIMbae™ solution. The applet is available to BICS customers as part of our wider offering of next-generation IoT solutions that streamline and automate the technical telecom challenges our enterprise customers face and enables seamless customer experience.”
